Staff excel at Wing Boards

Over the last 2 nights, 2 Civilian Instructors from 235 (City of Stoke on Trent) Squadron have attended promotion boards at MOD Stafford in order to progress into uniformed service. I am incredibly proud to say both staff passed their boards with flying colours. CI Emma Blackband attended a board for uniformed service as an Officer in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve (Training Branch), she must now progress to and pass Officer Aircrew Selection Centre (OASC) before becoming an Officer. CI Ryan Lee passed his board for uniformed service as an NCO and will take up the role of Sergeant (ATC) on the squadron. For both staff members this has been a long process involving training weekends, mock boards, and lots of revision. Both members of staff have been a key part of the success the squadron has had recently and I am incredibly proud of how well they have performed in this process.

We are proud to have such dedicated staff at 235 Squadron, and wish Sgt Lee luck as he moves into uniform service at 235 Squadron, and CI Blackband as she progresses to OASC.
