Junior Leaders and falling out of a plane....

Sgt Michael Hastings has successfully completed the Air Cadet parachute course at Weston on the Green, where he completed his first static line parachute jump. The course is very rare, and Sgt Hastings did exceptionally well to secure a place and complete the course.

Not content with that, Sgt Hastings spent a week instructing fieldcraft with the Staffordshire Wing Fieldcraft Training Team, to then leave and complete selection for Junior Leaders course 18. We found out yesterday that Sgt Hastings passed selection and will be starting his Junior leaders course in September. The course is among the most elite and sought after in the Air Cadets. Sgt Hastings will spent many weekends being taught advanced fieldcraft, conducting blank firing exercises, and learning the finer points of Leadership.
