Sgt Michael Hastings is on his way to Nijmegen, Holland to participate in the 75th Anniversary Nijmegen march. The march itself is a gruelling 4 day, 100 mile march, carrying a Bergen. Factoring in water and other equipment, plus the heat of summer in Holland, and you have one of the toughest activities in the ACO. To qualify, cadets must complete a 2 day, 50 mile march at RAF Cosford.

Sgt Hastings left Staffordshire this morning at 0630hrs and will arrive in Nijmegen tomorrow at 1200hrs. Sgt Hastings forms part of the Staffordshire Wing contingent who will be joined by cadets from around the UK, as well as many other military units from around the world. We wish Sgt Hastings the best of luck and look forward to updates in the near future!
